Hi there! My name is Sai, and I specialize in: elementary math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, SAT & ACT Math, Common Core math, GED math, GRE Math, and GMAT Math. I am currently an undergraduate student based in Texas.

My passion for learning began with my own teachers and professors. They would break down and thoroughly explain complex concepts, walk through examples, and encourage students to practice and ask questions. This type of learning built deep understanding and made the material engaging. As a neuroscience student, I tackle complex topics daily, and I know firsthand how important it is to break down complex material into foundational pieces. This approach is exactly what I bring to my tutoring sessions.

I have scored a 760 on the SAT Math, performed strongly in university math courses (including an A+ in statistics), and have consistently received grades of A or A+ in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry.

My ultimate goal is for students to walk away from our sessions with a thorough understanding of the material and the confidence to tackle problems independently. I will welcome any resources and syllabi from teachers, school districts, or standardized tests. I actively take feedback and suggestions from parents.

Please send me a message if you have any questions or if the hours on my Instant Book don’t work for you. I can do lessons teaching concepts on your homework or classwork, provide tutoring on a specific topic or questions, or help study for upcoming quizzes, tests, or exams. I look forward to working together!

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have experience preparing students for the ACT Math section, and I focus on far more than just content. I know the test well, its broad range of topics from pre-algebra and geometry through trigonometry, the time-management skills it demands, and the question patterns that trip students up. I adapt my methods to each student's strengths and the areas they need to improve. We work on both the underlying math and the test-taking strategy, building the time management skills and accuracy the section requires. My goal is to make the test feel manageable and even enjoyable, so students walk in confident and in control.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have a lot of experience tutoring Algebra 1, and it's one of my favorite math subjects to teach. I tailor my approach to each student's specific needs, finding the strategy that finally makes the material click for them. I know all topics in Algebra 1 across major curricula such as Regents, IB, and Exeter math. Mastering Algebra 1 is essential, because Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and even the sciences are all very hard to learn on a weak foundation. My goal is to make Algebra 1 as enjoyable and educational as possible, because loving and understanding it is the key to succeeding in future math classes.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have a lot of experience tutoring Algebra 2, and it's one of my favorite subjects because it pulls together so many ideas students will use for years. I tailor my approach to each student, breaking down functions, quadratics, logarithms, complex numbers, and rational expressions into clear, manageable pieces. I know major curricula such as Regents and IB. A strong grasp of Algebra 2 is essential for Precalculus, Calculus, and the sciences, so I focus on building real understanding rather than memorized steps. My goal is to make the material feel approachable and to leave students confident tackling problems on their own.
Common Core

Common Core

I have a lot of experience tutoring Common Core math across Algebra 1, Geometry, and Pre-algebra, and I'm very familiar with the material in these courses and on the Common Core exams. The Common Core emphasizes understanding over memorization, and I break complex ideas into foundational pieces and help students explain their reasoning, exactly what these assessments reward. I tailor my approach to each student and gladly welcome resources from teachers and districts so our work matches the classroom. My goal is for students to build real understanding they can carry into every future math course.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

Elementary math because it's where students form their entire relationship with the subject, and I want that relationship to be a positive one. I tailor my approach to each child, building strong foundations in topics such as number sense, place value, fractions, multiplication, division, and early problem-solving. I'm patient and encouraging, and I work hard to make sessions fun and engaging so young learners stay engaged and look forward to them. Because early gaps can shape how a student feels about math for years, I take care to address them thoroughly and gently. I also welcome feedback from parents so our work stays aligned with what's happening in class.
GED

GED

I bring patience and a focus on the fundamentals to every session. I adapt my teaching to each student's background and goals, breaking topics such as number operations, basic algebra, geometry, and data interpretation into clear, manageable pieces. I understand that learners often carry some math anxiety, so I prioritize building comfort and confidence right alongside skills. I'm happy to work from official GED prep materials and target exactly the areas where a student needs the most support. My goal is for students to walk in the test confident and prepared.
Geometry

Geometry

I love tutoring Geometry because it tests students in a quite a different way than Algebra, demanding visual understanding with logic and proof. I adapt my teaching to each student's strengths and the areas they need to improve, breaking topics such as proofs, angle relationships, triangle congruence, and coordinate geometry into clear, manageable steps. I'm familiar with the major curricula such as Regents and IB, and I know exactly where students tend to get stuck. Geometry also builds the spatial and logical thinking that shows up throughout Precalculus, Calculus, and standardized tests. My goal is to help students see the structure behind the subject so it feels intuitive rather than intimidating, and to make our sessions something they actually look forward to.
GMAT

GMAT

Success in GRE Quantitative Reasoning comes from combining solid fundamentals with a good test strategy. I tailor my teaching to each student, reviewing topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis while focusing on the quantitative-comparison questions that reward careful reasoning. I'm knowledgable of the specifics of the exam and the pacing strategies that help students avoid common traps. I adapt to each person's strengths and areas for improvement, and I'm happy to work from official GRE materials so we target the highest-impact topics. My goal is for students to feel prepared and confident when they sit for the exam.

Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is where students build the foundation that everything else in math depends on. I tailor my approach to each learner, strengthening core skills like fractions, decimals, ratios, integers, and order of operations while gently introducing variables and expressions. I know how easily small gaps at this stage can snowball, so I take extra care to fill them and rebuild confidence along the way. A strong Prealgebra foundation makes Algebra 1 and every course after it dramatically easier. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling capable and ready, not anxious, about the math ahead.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have experience preparing students for the SAT Math section, and I focus on far more than just content. I know the test inside and out, the topics it favors, the traps it sets, and the reasoning shortcuts that save valuable time. I adapt my methods to each student's strengths and the areas they need to improve. We work on both the underlying math and the test-taking strategy so students feel completely comfortable, building accuracy and time-management on the exact question types they find hardest. My goal is to make the test feel approachable and even enjoyable, so students walk in prepared and self-assured rather than rushed.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I enjoy tutoring Trigonometry. I tailor my approach to each learner, covering topics such as unit circle, radian measure, the six trig functions, identities, graphing, and solving trigonometric equations. I always tie the abstract formulas back to the underlying geometry so the material actually makes sense. Trigonometry is a major stepping stone toward Precalculus, Calculus, and the sciences, so building real understanding here pays off down the road. My goal is for students to feel confident with the subject rather than reliant on memorization.
