Knowing that math is not everyone's favorite subject, I strive to make my students feel supported, confident, and comfortable as they learn. My passion for learning and teaching began at an early age, and continues into my graduate studies. I would be honored to help you and/or your children comprehend: Elementary Math, College Algebra, GMAT, ACT and SAT Math.
My academic career includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas-Pan American. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Capella University..
I conduct individual tutoring sessions in a safe, secure, and public facility; best suited for learning.

Paul was a wonderful tutor for my son, he was patient and explained problems to him thoroughly. My son states he would absolutely use him in the future. Also, he communicated with me (mom) and was very accessible. The entire process of finding a tutor through WyzAnt was easy. Thank you.
Thank you very much Rita! It's been a pleasure working with you and your son!
Paul goes above and beyond average. He is a math COACH! Most tutors I've been to just review formulas. Some don't really explain how to work through problems. Very few follow-up with students after the big exam to show continued support. Paul provided me with a mutually-agreed syllabus. Our sessions consisted of Q & A's and were always positive. He uses motivational words and is patient. He made math not so bad after all.
Most importantly, he really cares. For example, Paul contacted me the day before I took my College Algebra comprehensive final exam. First, he provided words of encouragement. Secondly, he made himself available to review any last-minute questions.
He is not a typical tutor, he is a dedicated math coach! And always with a smile.
Thank you Mr. Paul.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have helped other students learn and apply basic arithmetic operations; properties of exponents, radicals, inequalities, absolute value, and logarithms; factoring and solving; and functions and graphs.
Specifically, your student will learn the fundamental rules and equations. We then find the patterns (aka the steps) to solving various problem. Lastly, repeating the patterns to reinforce learning. Note, we will also spend time recognizing common algebraic errors.
I hold an MBA from The University of Texas-Pan American. Additionally, I posses a BS Industrial Engineering. I am currently a Business Administration Doctoral Student at University of Texas Pan American.
