My name is Jon, and I am passionate about impactful communication, the study of the Bible, and spirituality.
These passions led me to earn a BA in Christian Studies (Bible) and a MA in Religion (New Testament).
As a full-time pastor, I have helped hundreds of people understand the Bible and the religions of the world. I have spoken to audiences large and small, thousands of times. And I have written lots of content to help people confidently navigate difficult, personal issues.
I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Christian Studies from Howard Payne University (Brownwood, TX), and a Masters of Arts in Religion (New Testament) from Logsdon Theological Seminary (Abilene, TX).
For over 15 years I have worked as a full-time pastor. I have prepared over 3,000 hours of sermons, lessons, discussions, and lectures about spiritual topics, from biblical studies to the neuroscience of religion.
I have spent countless hours one-on-one, tutoring people who want a deeper understanding of the Bible, spirituality, or religious history. And I have helped many students write excellent content or speak in public for the first time.
Besides my church work, my YouTube channel about Christian spirituality has over 400k views, and my book about Jesus' teaching debuted at #1 on Amazon in the category "Jesus, the Gospels, and Acts."
