I've been a student for many years now and I know the difficulties that may accompany the learning process of certain subjects. I've gone through the trials myself and witnessed them in my peers. Face it, the majority of students don't understand 100% of the material they initially come across, but I do believe that no matter who you are — you can learn and understand chemistry and math. Don't be fooled by those who say that the ability to add, multiply, subtract, differentiate, integrate — whatever it may be — is innate. It's possible to learn and develop these skills and I will do my best to help you in both of these aspects.
As for experience, I must say I have no formal experience. I have never worked for a full-blown tutoring organization — but I have tutored. During my time taking AP Chemistry in my junior year of high school, my teacher asked me to tutor her sophomores for a grade incentive. I met with both Pre-AP and regular chemistry students, and they always seemed to light up whenever I explained something to them, as a result, I fell in love with tutoring. I continued to tutor through my senior year of high school upon the request of teachers and students. During my freshman year of college, I assisted a friend of mine in teaching my classmates — you guessed it — chemistry.
The reason I enjoy tutoring is because I know what it's like to despise a subject solely because of a bad teacher, or because the subject is not easily relatable. When I tutor, I aim to persuade students into giving chemistry and math a chance by ensuring them that it's absolutely possible to learn, understand, and apply the subjects. In addition to the satisfaction I get when a student understands the material, tutoring greatly benefits me by testing my knowledge and helping me to solidify my grasp on the material.
