Hello! I am a passionate, certified secondary mathematics educator currently teaching high school math in Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from UTA and full Texas teaching credentials, which provide me with a rigorous foundation in the subject matter and a complete understanding of state curriculum standards. Day in and day out in the classroom, I work directly with high school students, guiding them through core mathematical concepts. My professional background means I do not just know the math; I know the exact conceptual hurdles students face and how to help them clear those blocks successfully.
In my teaching practice, I believe that mathematics is best mastered actively rather than through passive listening. I utilize collaborative, student-centered methodologies—such as small-group problem-solving and visual, inquiry-based learning strategies—to help students transform abstract equations into intuitive concepts. Whether a student is trying to bridge foundational skill gaps, catch up after falling behind, or push ahead to ace their upcoming exams, my approach focuses on building both confidence and independent problem-solving skills. I meet students right where they are, using patient, step-by-step guidance to replace math anxiety with genuine understanding.
Outside of my daily classroom hours, I love working with students one-on-one because it allows us to tailor every session directly to their unique learning style in a low-pressure environment. Mathematics does not have to be a source of stress, and my ultimate goal is to help every student experience that rewarding moment when everything finally clicks.
