Hello, I'm Amir! I am a math educator who has been teaching and tutoring for 2 years. I love to teach and help any level of student understand math, to whatever level they wish. I have been a student teacher for one year for an Algebra II class and have tutored students in Algebra I and Precalculus on the side.

Some of my prime ideals are patience and thoroughness. While I believe in efficiency, I believe in depth even more. I will attempt in multiple ways to help a student come to an understanding about a topic, from it being as simple as exponents to as complex as matrices. While I am just a student teacher, I have taught full classrooms bell to bell. While teaching I try to employ creative analogies and anecdotes to pique a student's interest and encourage them to reach an understanding. I will always work with a student rather than against them. While I may understand it a certain way, I will always acknowledge that I may need to change how I explain something for a student to comprehend. I'm here to teach, not get in the way. I take pride in helping a student fully comprehend a subject, no matter how long it takes.

In my past experiences I have primarily taught high-school aged students. I have never discriminated in who I am teaching, no matter what their previous skill level is. As a student teacher, even though I do not primarily teach class-length lessons, I have no shortage in experience. When not teaching a full-blown lesson, I am always available to help small groups, teach shorter length lessons, and provide extra practice to those who act.
