Hi! I'm Cole, an English, reading, and writing tutor with a passion for helping students find confidence in their literacy skills. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in English, where I spent a lot of time studying literature, academic writing, and poetry. While I was there, I also worked as a tutor at the university’s writing center, helping students from all types of majors with everything from essays and research papers to personal statements and creative writing. That experience taught me how to listen, ask the right questions, and guide students in a way that makes writing less intimidating and a lot more approachable.
For the past three years, I’ve worked with high school and college students in both one-on-one and small group settings. My tutoring style is pretty straightforward: I focus on building strong, long-term relationships with students so I can effectively support them over time. My top priority is always helping students become self-sufficient. I want you to leave our sessions not just with a stronger paper, but with tools and strategies you can use on your own. Whether you're reading Shakespeare, working on a college application, or trying to make your writing better, I’m here to help however I can.
