Washington University in St. Louis (Mathematics)
I want to share my love for learning with others, and I find great joy in helping students struggling with their coursework learn to master and enjoy the material. I have personally experienced applying persistence and dedication to many difficult subjects, and I graduated at the top of my class as a result. I know the joy that accompanies these accomplishments, and as your tutor I will adjust my teaching methodology until you have felt that joy, as well.
I graduated from a highly-ranked (top 10) university and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. I have previously tutored both middle and high-school students in mathematics through the calculus sequence, linear/matrix algebra, and probability/statistics.
I have completed and received an A grade in Biology I and II, General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Physics I and II and several other upper-level biology courses.
I completed a creative writing program at my undergraduate institution, received scholarship awards for my writing and earned an A grade in College Composition I, II and a research writing course in the English department.
I am inspired to help students struggling with their coursework and believe any subject can be mastered with enough effort. I hope to help my students reduce the frustration that inevitably accompanies an academic struggle, and I will consider myself successful when they not only master but also learn to enjoy the material. Very helpful explanation even beyond what was taught in class. Helped in a pinch when my computer wasn't working. I would definitely recommend Stav for anyone looking for help in chemistry
Stav was awesome she was patient she took her time and made sure I understood what I needed she broke things down into a easier learning matter she asked questions and she answered a lot of questions I can't wait to meet up with stav again thanks so much for all ur help
I have my first Chem 1308 exam in a couple days and I was extremely nervous about it, not feeling confident and I will say after just one lesson I feel a lot more relieved. She is patient and explains things in a way I can understand so much better and if I am still confused she will continue to show examples or find other ways to word it. She actually cares about you retaining the information rather than just telling you the answers and moving on. It only took one time with her to realize how great she is. Would not recommend anyone else!
I graduated from a top 10 university as a math major, and I graduated at the top of my class. As part of my undergraduate experience, I tutored math at all levels, from middle school to college level. My experience is diverse and math is my forte.
I have been a private tutor for the general chemistry sequence since earning an A in both courses during my undergraduate studies. I also scored in the 97th percentile nationwide on the general chemistry portion of the MCAT.
I completed the organic chemistry sequence (Organic Chemistry I and I) at my undergraduate institution and received an A grade in each course. My final grade for each course was > 98% and I was offered the teaching assistant position for Organic Chemistry I. I have led group study sessions and helped others learning Organic Chemistry for the MCAT, as well.
