Bio

I have taught every history/social studies course from 6th grade to 11th grade. I have also been trained in Biblical History. I love to teach and to see students succeed. I love history and study it all the time. I have 23 years experience in the classroom, teaching AP classes, Pre-AP classes and helping to develop curriculum. I have gifted and talented training, worked with National History Day and was a coach of athletics for 16 years.

I have taught the various governments of the World on the 6th grade level and the high school level. I have an undergraduate degree with a teaching field in political science. I have studied the novel "Animal Farm" with various age groups of students and have used it to compare the different political structures of the world.
Religion

Religion

I have a Master of Theology degree and I have taught World Religions in 6th grade social studies as well as in 9th grade World History. I have studied the 5 major religions , as well as several other world religions. With the use of historical information, it is easier to understand the role of religion in government, culture, and economics.
Social Studies

Social Studies

I have taught social studies courses from the 6th grade level to all levels of high school. This has allowed me to look at the subject from historical, economic, government, cultural, and geographic aspects. This has given me a working know leg of each of the subjects as they relate to the social studies curriculum.
