Bio

I was a college Business, Math and Economics teacher for over 9 years and have taught computer, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer applications as well as Accounting and Financial Literacy class for a non-profit for the last 5 years. I teach or have taught classes in Marketing, Economics, Business Law, Accounting, Finance, Management, Managing Projects, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, General Business, Communication, Learning Framework, College Math, Business Ethics and...

I was a college Business, Math and Economics teacher for over 9 years and have taught computer, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer applications as well as Accounting and Financial Literacy class for a non-profit for the last 5 years. I teach or have taught classes in Marketing, Economics, Business Law, Accounting, Finance, Management, Managing Projects, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, General Business, Communication, Learning Framework, College Math, Business Ethics and many others. My degrees are in business (Bachelor's in Marketing and Masters in Management Information Systems with specialization in Management Science) and included several Math and Statistics Classes, as well as 12 hours in Economics. I read and study History and Economics out of an interest in both fields. I am a published author (articles in magazines and company newsletters) and have done proofreading and editing for a writing club (online) (and won several writing competitions in it.)

I am also certified Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. For over two years I published the campus newsletter in Microsoft Publisher, for which I wrote most of the content. I also have over 30 years experience in business including entrepreneurship and small business management, during which time I trained many managers and other employees in Management, Marketing, Accounting, Math and more.

I was Valedictorian of my high school class and often helped my friends and classmates to understand subjects, especially math. I scored the highest possible score on ACT math section and was in the top 1% on the ACT and SAT as well as the top 2% on the GMAT business graduate school admissions test. I tutored for the athletic department at Texas Tech while I was in graduate school.

Very helpful tutor

James has helped me really understand accounting. I know how to do the problems before I go to class, which is very helpful since I used to not be good at it. He also is helping me understand finance. He is patient with me when I don't understand and finds new ways to explain it. One of the best tutors I've had!

Great tutor

James was great. He was pretty much easy to understand and I like how he is going about teaching me. He seems very intelligent also.
