About Keith

Hello,

I love to learn, and I love to see others learn too.

I was born in Texas and raised in New Mexico. I was my high school's valedictorian.

I have a BA in physics from Rice University which included plenty of mathematics and physics, and I am Texas-certified to teach secondary math and physics. I taught both subjects at the high school level, and I tutored junior high and high school subjects while I was in college.

I wish to see success in my clients, and I much prefer an ongoing relationship (if only the occasional text message) over working on a few things then never communicating again.

Last-moment cramming for math or physics exams is rarely effective, and I'd prefer not to get involved in that. You and I would both be dissatisfied with the results.

Thank you for visiting my profile!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Very helpful — Keith has been a very helpful tutor in Math (Calculus) and also in Physics. He seems to enjoy teaching and see his students learn. He has been reliable about keeping appointments. The student has usually contacted Keith directly on an as needed basis and that has worked for him. ...
