Hi, I'm Steven, an MD/MBA student at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, and I help students master chemistry and prepare for the SAT by breaking hard material into pieces that make sense. I know how overwhelming a tough course or a big exam can feel, so my goal is to replace memorizing with real understanding, so the material sticks and you walk into test day confident. I tutor General Chemistry, SAT prep, and general study skills, and I work with high school students, college students, and adult learners.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Medical Studies and have maintained a 4.0 GPA through my MBA coursework. I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and above the 95th percentile on the MCAT. At ASU, I spent over a year as a Chemistry Instructional Aide, where I led lab and recitation sections, developed course materials, and tutored students one-on-one. Since then, I've spent several years mentoring undergraduate and junior graduate students on study habits and managing a demanding workload.
In our first session, we'll find your specific gaps. If you keep missing stoichiometry problems, for example, I'll figure out whether the issue is unit conversions, mole concepts, or reading the problem itself, then build targeted practice around that weak point. I'll also help you build a realistic study plan and learn to review practice tests so every mistake teaches you something. Message me with your course or exam date, and we'll build a plan together.
