I am currently a fourth year medical student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, a Masters of Science in Medical Education, and an MD that I will obtain in May of 2026.
I have approximately 5 years experience tutoring ages from 13-30 in the subjects of biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. My previous approaches often include drawing and models to make things come to life, and adapting to certain students specific learning styles in one-on-one sessions. I have additionally served as a teaching assistant, employed and volunteering, for approximately 5 years in group settings as well as one-on-one sessions regarding anatomy on the medical student level.
I feel that though I often teach older students, I work well with children and have had success breaking down more difficult subjects for younger students using a top down approach. This allows for bigger picture digestion, and then weaving in the relevant details or smaller concepts within a lesson plan. I have tutored online as well as in person.
