I am an electrical engineer with a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University. Over the past seven years, I have built my career in the semiconductor industry and now serve as an engineering manager overseeing the ion-implantation process. My work frequently requires the use of advanced mathematics and computer programming—subjects in which I’ve developed both professional expertise and personal enthusiasm. As a manager, I’ve also cultivated strong skills in patience, purposeful leadership, coaching, and building meaningful yet professional relationships.

My instructional style is intentionally less conventional. While teaching students how to solve problems is important, I aim to help them understand why those problems matter and to connect concepts to a real-world application. I use mathematics daily, both at work and in my personal projects, and I know firsthand how impactful it is to see math used in practical, relevant ways—something I often felt was missing in my own early education. If your main goal is simply to get the answers, then my tutoring style may not be the right match.

Outside of my professional role, I’m an enthusiastic learner who enjoys teaching and practicing mathematics as a personal passion. I regularly use my computer programming skills to build financial simulations that guide responsible money management and help me explore strategies for maximizing long-term financial potential. I’m also a husband and soon-to-be father, excited to welcome a baby boy into our growing family.
