As a former undergraduate who took these same courses, I shared with students the strategies that helped me excel in the same courses with the professors they had. My approach in the lab involved breaking down complex material into manageable sections and working with small groups to ensure everyone fully understood the content being covered that week. I was committed to going the extra mile, explaining concepts repeatedly if needed until each student felt confident with the material.
In addition to lab instruction, there were weekly office hours I had ran with another TA, providing one-on-one guidance to help students grasp anatomical structures in greater depth if they were still struggling learning the material in the lab. I prioritize ensuring students understand the material thoroughly, enabling them to succeed in their courses and labs.
