Howdy eh! As a child, I moved extensively among the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. I believe it was during that period of my life that I developed a desire to help people reach their destination. Many folks/relatives helped our family during our travels.

After taking a job as an Arthur Ashe-National Junior Tennis League instructor for the city of Carrollton and in conjunction with with my love for the sciences it was then that I began my training and education as a high school science teacher and tennis coach. I wanted to help students reach their knowledge/comprehension destination in the sciences and tennis.

I have taught Physics I, Chemistry I, Pre-AP Physics/Chemistry, IPC and been a varsity tennis coach.

I have a high standard when it comes to teaching/learning in the classroom. My students have earned a #1 or #2 ranking for standardized tests in Physics I and Chemistry I in the districts for which I have worked.

FYI: I will not seek out students, hence, please make the initial contact for tutoring. Thanks :)) !

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you reach your destination.
PS Speaking of destinations, please check your spam/junk email folder, just in case my response email does not appear in your inbox :))

Knowledgeable, Patient, Real Life Examples...

My son was able to understand the topic better as Fernan had real life examples for problems my son was trying to solve. Great job and thanks for the timely assistance!

Subject Matter Expert, explains concepts and information in easy to understand terms

Lesson mainly covered Stoichiometry chemistry concepts and problems. Fernan explained this concept better than my regular Chemistry teacher. Would highly recommend him as a tutor and I will be reaching out to him again in the future!

So Thankful!

Fernan has been such a gift for my son. He started the semester with a C in Physics and now, going into finals, has an A. We have especially appreciated Fernan's flexibility with scheduling.

Simplistic No Nonsense Approach to Learning

Fernan, has been assisting with Physics I. It is clearly evident that he has a commanding knowledge of the subject matter. He tailored his instruction to fit me specifically. He debunked incorrect thought processes that I had about somethings while simultaneously applying the correct methodology to those points. As an adult learner that is seeking a second degree and have taught myself bad learning habits over the years this was a very important attribute to me. Fernan is friendly and genuinely interested in you attaining your goals. He is timely but more than willing to stay those extra few moments to ensure that the loop is closed on a point of learning that you are ending on. I would highly recommend Fernan for any subject matter that he has listed to tutor for.
