My previous teaching experience mostly covers K-6 math and science, but I have ELA experience as well, and I am certified to teach all subjects. I have experience in student success with a deep understanding of the learning process, as well as learning differences, including ADHD, determining intervention strategies and solutions, and establishing before/after school tutoring schedules.
I use online lessons that are fun and creative, on platforms like Jamboard and Nearpod, and am open to any other suggested curriculum that your student might be using at school. The structure of my classes is based on best-practices and designed to run an hour. It could include quick social-emotional check-in activity, teacher-guided lesson, guided practice, and then an exit ticket where the student practices the skill independently. I also specialize in after-school homework help sessions, I know by then, some students are just "done"!
