She learned I was a visual learner, so she found ways to show me the chemistry I couldn’t understand with graphs and pictures. I enjoyed learning from her because she was knowledgeable.

Impatient but helpful
I had a few lessons with Laura. She was helpful in the first lesson, but as we progressed she got more and more frustrated with me when I didn't understand a concept or was making small errors. She was condescending at times and I expressed that I had little guidance from my professor so I needed a lot of help, but I was made to feel stupid and belittled. She would explain concepts at the topical level, but would never fully explain as a whole. Also a few of our lessons were cancelled on her end due to unexpected things, and she was flexible with me when the same in turn happened. I have no personal qualms with her, but this was my experience as of recent.

Knowledgeable but got frustrated
Laura tutored my daughter yesterday. She is knowledgeable and helped her a lot, but she became frustrated with my daughter and kept repeating that she ( Laura) had a long day. We will not be using Laura V. again.

Amazing Tutor!
Laura is an amazing tutor. Not only is she super knowledgeable in the chemistry department, but she wants you to be knowledgeable in that department too! She has really helped me to work through my challenges in chemistry and understand what I’m doing so much better. She is super flexible, understanding, patient, and will care about you as a person as well. 10/10 recommend!
