Hi students and parents! My name is Bonna, and I am excited to share with you my experience, knowledge, and curiosity. I have more than 10 years of experience, tutoring grades K-12 and college students in Math, Science, and English. Having obtained a teaching license in New York, I taught at middle and high schools. My undergraduate coursework in Math and Psychology at NYU and graduate coursework in Math Education at Columbia University, along with respect, drive to excel and curiosity of human mind and behavior allowed me to flourish as an educator. I strive to create a non-judgmental and safe learning environment, where students can have fun learning.
Currently, I am planning on applying to medical schools, and I will be preparing for my own tests while I help you prepare for your tests. In addition to subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, I teach study skills, test-preparation skills, and time management skills. I am also familiar with various curriculum such as Common Core, Exeter Math, and Singapore math, and I am open to learning about other types of curriculum and standards.
