I grew up in New York City where I started playing basketball at the tender age of 7 and subsequently became a very good playground and high school player. When it became apparent that I would not be able to realize my dream of playing in the NBA, I chose another career but I never stopped playing the game I loved. Only recently did I decide to dedicate my life to helping others improve their hoops skills by becoming a tutor. My experience and background includes nearly 40 years of playing experience and just as many years watching and studying both college ball and the NBA. My playing experience includes some of the most competitive locations in perhaps the city that produces the best basketball talent in the country: New York. I've also done some work for former NBA All-Star and current college coach Jeff Ruland. My teaching ranges from novice to more experienced players, hence my instruction will vary depending on that. It will encompass dribbling, shooting (including free-throws), passing, defense, and rebounding.
