I quit my job after I had my 1st baby and started homeschooling her in the year 2000 when she was in kindergarten. I have 7 children and I homeschooled all of them.
In 2014 I started teaching 1 high school Spanish class at the OLF homeschool co-op. This year I am teaching 7 classes from 5th grade math to high school Chemistry (Saxon 5/4, Intro to Spanish, Saxon algebra half, Physical Science, HS Spanish 1, 2 and 3 and Chemistry). The classes at co-op are small and in person once a week - from 3 to 12 students. I use Canvas for lesson plans, communication, resources, assignments and grades.
In 2019 I got a Spanish-English Business Translation Certificate with the University of Arizona.
From 2023 to the present, I started doing online tutoring with Varsity tutors primarily Adult Conversational Spanish.
On the volunteer side of teaching, I was a trainer for facilitators and director trainer in our family church group from 2001-2005, the club president of a teens church group from 2006-2013 and a Sunday School catechist at our parish from 2010-2025.
I don't believe anybody is born smart or not, anybody can succeed with good instruction, great effort and desire. I love teaching and helping people reached their best potential.
