I’ve also developed instructional resources and skill-based materials designed to make reading and writing feel more manageable (and less intimidating). My goal isn’t just to help students finish an assignment, but to give them tools they can actually use. We focus on strategies for reading comprehension, finding and explaining text evidence, organizing ideas, and writing clear responses and essays that make sense to them.
My tutoring style is structured but relaxed. I break skills into clear steps, model how strong readers and writers think, and guide students as they practice. I keep sessions focused, encouraging, and low-stress—because students learn best when they feel supported, not pressured. I want students to leave each session thinking, “Okay… I’ve got this,” instead of “Wait, what just happened?”
