My approach consists of getting to know my students first to help them feel comfortable and willing to talk. I like to take in account what each individual student needs and how I can meet those needs; whether it is focusing on one specific topic, setting up a study schedule, keeping accountability, or implementing new study strategies. I previously worked at a walk-in tutoring center, so I would never know what questions the next student would come in with and it was always a surprise. This has made me keep an open-minded approach to whomever would come to me for help. I also have learned a lot about what tutoring strategies can help different students depending on their own specific situations.
I love to help my students not only catch up but also get ahead. I love to use resources students already have to build off of what they need to know in the present and in the future. I will offer my first lesson free to see if we are a match together and to also see if you enjoy my way of teaching you.
