I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and hold teaching certifications in EC–6 Core Subjects, ESL (K–12), and Family and Consumer Sciences (6–12). These certifications allow me to support students across a wide range of subjects and grade levels.
I have over 8 years of experience teaching both elementary and high school students in classroom settings, as well as providing one-on-one support, including through online platforms. Currently, I serve as a Special Education Coordinator at a high school, where I work closely with students, families, and teachers to ensure students receive the support and accommodations they need to succeed. This role has strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, personalize learning strategies, and support diverse learning needs.
With elementary students, I create engaging, interactive lessons that make learning fun and accessible. I use visual supports, hands-on activities, and positive reinforcement to build foundational skills and confidence.
With high school students, I specialize in academic support and future planning. I help with organization, study strategies, subject-specific support, and college and career readiness, including admissions guidance, essay writing, and career exploration.
My tutoring approach is student-centered and personalized. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and challenges, tailoring sessions to meet their needs while creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and growing.
