I am a civil engineer who has used math and science throughout my career. I am especially adept at algebra 1, geometry, trigonometry and physics.

I enjoy tutoring young people in these subjects. I have tutored young engineers in design of streets, water supply, wastewater collection systems and stormwater systems. For most of this work, civil engineers use high school math only. I would be very pleased to be your tutor in these subjects.

I am a registered Professional Engineer with more than 35 years' experience designing stormwater drainage and management facilities, grading and drainage, public water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems and streets and road. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. I earned my professional engineer's license by examination. I have taught a college level course in site engineering design. For years, I have mentored young engineers on the job, teaching them proper design technique for public improvements and stormwater control, applying principals of fluid mechanics, soil mechanics and other principals learned in my college education and since college. My approach to teaching is to ascertain the design objective and the given facts, along with reasonable assumptions to arrive at a workable solution to the problem at hand.
