Howdy! I'm Catherine! I'm an experienced tutor specializing in the Life Sciences. I have a BS in Bioenvironmental Science from Texas A&M and am passionate about exciting students about the wonders of science. I have worked as a field biologist for 3 years, surveying soil, geography, and water. I have a working understanding of Texas Earth Science. I like to lead with natural curiosity and then facilitate concentrated teaching of topics. I meet students where they are at and adjust to their pace. I allow for plenty of questions and guide students based of their most productive learning style.
I have experience tutoring with Mathnasium, where I helped students with math homework and studying. I also have experience at a local nature center where I hosted college field biology labs and led ecological interpretation tours. I am comfortable with one on one or group settings. I can travel in Houston to meet with students or can meet virtually. I am flexible with scheduling and am open to working odd hours to compensate for busy home lives!
