I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Economics, a B.S. in International Relations, and a Leadership Studies certificate. I hold honors society memberships including Phi Beta Kappa. Throughout my time in college, I’ve been involved in qualitative & quantitative research, including two honors theses and coding policy decisions for an NSF-funded project. As a recent graduate, I'm closely tied to current university teaching styles and retain the approaches that tend to work best.

My passion for meeting new people and making complex topics easier to understand has been a focus since middle school, especially through Model UN and public speaking competitions. I previously provided one-on-one, remote tutoring as a volunteer with ENGin, helping Ukrainian students (young adults) practice their English and gain public speaking confidence. This experience strengthened my ability to provide individualized support. My core teaching method is based on my own study technique: acting as if I’m teaching a classroom full of people. I am both a visual and auditory learner and teacher, so I tailor my approach to students’ preferences.

My broader experience involves leadership and mentorship roles that reinforce my organizational and communication skills, including four years in our Undergraduate Student Government (USG). My professional roles include working with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the Board of Supervisors County office, and the A.G. Bell Association for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, where I helped programming for a national leadership conference serving over 40+ teenagers.

Currently, I am actively preparing for graduate school, fellowships, and research positions, and I see this as an opportunity to extend my teaching skills while remaining engaged in an academic and mentorship capacity. I am flexible with hours to find a time that works best for you & I look forward to helping fulfil your goals!

My background includes in-depth research with professors, two honors theses, and leadership roles, including student government. I have experience across different levels of policy and governance, including state policy research (NSF-funded project), federal work (Office of the Department of National Intelligence), local government engagement, and non-profit work in Washington D.C. I offer practical insights into policy and career strategies and aim to help you build goals at the intersection of your passion and long-term growth prospects.

I help students turn basic and complex ideas into clear, compelling essays. Drawing on two interdisciplinary honors theses in Economics and International Relations and numerous coursework essays, I teach how to structure arguments, integrate evidence, and write with clarity and confidence. My background in Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Principles of Argument & Debate, and college-level writing helps students think critically and express their authentic voice. Whether you're perfecting a paper or racing a deadline, I’ll help you sound like your best self.
