What separates a good AP U.S. History student from a great one isn't how much history they memorize—it's how well they think, write, and defend an argument. That's what I've dedicated the past 15 years of my career to teaching.
I'm an Adjunct Professor of History, an online instructor, and a College Board AP U.S. History Reader since 2014. I've taught APUSH, Dual Credit U.S. History, and college history while helping students nationwide achieve their goals. As an AP Reader, I've evaluated...

Cindy, 1 lesson with EnriqueTutor responded:Thank you so much, Cindy, for your thoughtful and generous review. It has truly been a privilege working with your daughter throughout her AP U.S. History journey. Reading that she learned more in just a few hours than she had over the course of the school year is incredibly humbling, and I sincerely appreciate your kind words. One of my goals as an educator is to help students move beyond memorizing historical facts and instead build the confidence to think like historians. When students begin making meaningful connections between events, ideas, and historical themes, the material becomes far less overwhelming and much more enjoyable. Hearing that your daughter felt comfortable asking questions, growing in confidence, and making those connections means more to me than any test score ever could. Thank you again for placing your trust in me and allowing me to be part of her educational journey. I wish her continued success in AP U.S. History and wherever her future academic path may lead. It has truly been an honor. — Mr. Sauce
Excellent AP History tutor
Enrique has excellent teaching skills. My 17 year son who takes AP History has been working with him throughout the year. Last semester he made High Honor Roll. Enrique works with him on DBQ. He helps him to make connections within history content. Enrique aids him in understanding context and reviewing documents. My son is learning and Enrique has him on the right path. Thank you Enrique, ID
Iris, 24 lessons with EnriqueTutor responded:Thank you very much, Iris, for your wonderful review and for trusting me to work with your son throughout the school year. It has been a pleasure watching his confidence and understanding continue to grow as we worked together on AP History and historical writing. Helping students connect historical events rather than viewing them as isolated facts has always been one of the foundations of my teaching philosophy. Whether we're analyzing a DBQ, discussing historical context, or preparing for an AP exam, my goal is to help students develop the analytical thinking and writing skills that will serve them well long after the course has ended. I'm especially grateful that you noticed his progress in making those connections and strengthening his writing. Thank you again for your confidence, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. I truly appreciate the opportunity to have worked with your family, and I wish your son continued success in AP History and in all of his future academic endeavors. — Mr. Sauce
He Is Not a Responsible Person
My daughter has scheduled first lesson last Friday (4/20/18),and my daughter contacted him eight minutes before class start. He replied to her that he needed to cancel the lesson because he is out. HE IS NOT A RESPONSIBLE PERSON. We had scheduled Sunday (4/22/18). I have asked help my daughter APUSH DBQ, but he just said her DBQ is good, and he starts review the textbook. He wasted my time and my daughter's time.
