I have over ten years of experience instructing college-level mathematics and chemistry and providing individualized one-on-one academic instruction. I hold a degree in Biochemistry from Texas State University, with advanced coursework in calculus, multivariable calculus, differential equations, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry.

I have taught in classroom and college-associated instructional settings, including work connected with Austin Community College, and support high school students, college students, and adult learners. In chemistry, I guide students through laboratory coursework, including pre-labs, post-labs, data analysis, dimensional analysis, unit conversions, error analysis, and formal lab reports. I explicitly teach how mathematics underlies chemical reasoning, including ladder-method unit analysis, proper grouping and parentheses, thermodynamics, stoichiometry, equilibrium, and kinetics.

In mathematics, I teach Calculus I–III (multivariable calculus), trigonometry, college algebra, and differential equations with emphasis on interpretation and method selection. I use visuals and Mathematica programming to expand series, analyze error in Calculus II and AP Calculus BC, and demonstrate why approximations work. I also use Mathematica for differential equations, including variation of parameters, piecewise functions, and Laplace transforms, explaining both how and why the methods are valid.

I teach efficient algebraic strategies such as synthetic and long division, factoring methods (including AC and pattern recognition), and rational expressions, breaking down boxed methods into clear logical steps. I am known for an extremely patient instructional style and have experience supporting students with learning differences, including autism and traumatic brain injuries, adapting pacing and explanation to ensure understanding and independence.

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have extensive experience tutoring Algebra 1 through advanced mathematics, including Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, and higher-level problem-solving. I specialize in standardized test math preparation, focusing on pattern recognition, time management, and strategic elimination methods specific to ACT-style questions. My sessions emphasize structured review, targeted practice, and measurable score improvement. Students consistently improve both speed and accuracy under timed conditions.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have extensive experience tutoring Algebra 1 through advanced mathematics, including Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, and Differential Equations. My teaching emphasizes logical structure, pattern recognition, and clean problem-solving methods rather than memorization. I work effectively with students who need foundational reinforcement as well as those preparing for higher-level coursework. My sessions are focused, organized, and results-driven.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Extensive experience tutoring high school and college-level Trigonometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus. Strong emphasis on conceptual mastery of the unit circle, trigonometric functions, identities, and real-world applications. Known for clear explanations, structured problem-solving strategies, and consistently building student confidence and performance. Background includes years of one-on-one instruction and university-level class instruction with measurable grade improvement. Instruction includes function graphing, polar plotting, and calculator-based methods (TI-84, TI-Nspire, Desmos, and others) tailored to each student’s needs. Maintains a high student rating across tutoring and teaching experience. Additional subjects taught at the university level and below include Organic Chemistry, College Algebra, Geometry, and laboratory instruction.
Calculus

Calculus

I have extensive experience tutoring Calculus I–III, including limits, derivatives, integrals, applications of differentiation and integration, sequences and series, multivariable calculus, and introductory differential equations. Also a mathematics tutor with experience teaching middle school, high school, and college students through one-on-one and small-group instruction. My teaching/instruction style emphasizes conceptual understanding, visual intuition, and step-by-step problem-solving so students not only get the right answer, but understand why the method works. I regularly help students prepare for exams, improve grades, and build long-term confidence in calculus.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

Experienced tutoring elementary through college-level mathematics. For younger students, I emphasize number sense development, structured problem-solving habits, and confidence-building. Skilled in breaking down multi-step problems into simple, repeatable routines that help students avoid frustration and math anxiety. Background includes years of one-on-one instruction with measurable academic improvement. Known for patience, clarity, and helping students feel capable and supported while strengthening foundational skills.
GED

GED

I tutor GED Math with a focus on clarity and repetition through targeted practice. I teach core GED topics including fractions/decimals/percents, ratios, algebra fundamentals, equations/inequalities, word problems, basic geometry, graphs, and data/percents. My approach is structured: diagnose weak areas, teach the method with simple examples, then assign focused exercises to build speed and confidence. I provide practice sets and review mistakes carefully so progress is consistent and measurable.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I tutor precalculus with an emphasis on test preparation and long-term understanding. Topics include functions, graphing, polynomials, rational and exponential functions, trigonometry, and translating word problems into equations. I prioritize clear explanations, method selection, and practice problems aligned with how exams are written, along with ongoing homework support to reinforce concepts.
