Hello! My name is Zeke and I am here to help! I have a Master's degree in English Education and have worked as a classroom teacher. I have experience teaching and tutoring a wide range of ages, from young children all the way to adults. I adore literature and writing, twin passions I have had since childhood.

I hope to inspire young minds and encourage others to find enjoyment in reading and writing. I understand the struggles that students go through when they find a particular subject in school to be difficult. I struggled with mathematics as a child. With the help of passionate tutors and teachers, I was able to succeed in my classes. The idea that others may feel the same way about Reading Comprehension, English, Grammar, or Literature simply breaks my heart. I want nothing more than to help someone struggling in these subjects to not only succeed but also to develop a passion for said subjects.

I do hope that you allow me to assist you with your tutoring needs. I am passionate about this subject matter and have a very calm and patient demeanor. I understand that many people are struggling financially these days, so I am willing to be flexible with payment if need be. I also realize that there is no single method of teaching that works for all students. As a result, I try to have a flexible teaching style. Essentially, I will work with my client to figure out what methods work best for them, and then adapt my tutoring style to fit their specific needs. I understand that each student is unique, and as a result, I make an effort to come up with a unique plan to help them achieve their English goals. My ESL/ESOL students have had great success in improving their English, both spoken and written, as well as their reading comprehension.

Literature

Classical Literature has been a significant passion of mine since early childhood. I was introduced to Classical Literature by my Mother, a teacher herself, at a very early age. Consequently, I began reading novels that were considered to be far more advanced than an elementary aged child should be able to handle. This early exposure to Classical Literature has given me a great deal more experience in the subject than most of my peers, which has caused me to be forever grateful for my literary-filled upbringing.

I have been working in professional writing and editing for several years now. Before I started tutoring, I worked with a number of clients, including the Florida Agritourism Association, to develop content for their websites and apps. Additionally, I served as the lead editor for a commercial real estate appraisal company for a year. There, I developed professional business report templates, and edited content that would be sent to clients ranging from banks to the government. Beyond that, I took several writing classes in college and pursue creative writing in my personal time.

Zeke is a great tutor who cares as much about my daughter's grade as she does! He is teaching her so much more about the writing process and research paper requirements than either her high school English teacher or her college composition teacher has.
