Bio

I currently work as a family nurse practitioner in a primary care setting since 2023. My healthcare journey started back in 2012 when I entered LVN school. In 2013, I graduated LVN school second in my class and was awarded best overall student which factored my GPA and best overall clinical performance. I currently work as a family nurse practitioner in a primary care setting since 2023. My healthcare journey started back in 2012 when I entered LVN school. In 2013, I graduated LVN school second in my class and was awarded best overall student which factored my GPA and best overall clinical performance. During this time I served as a nonofficial tutor for my peers. Shortly after graduating LVN school, I began working in a skilled nursing facility and concurrently worked in home health before going back to school to receive my associates degree for registered nurse. I graduated top three in my class in 2015. After officially becoming a registered nurse, I began working at a local hospital on the medical surgical unit before I transferred into the intensive care unit. While working in the ICU, I decided to continue my education with the bachelors degree program which I completed in 2018. I then decided to start travel nursing. My travel nursing experience includes nursing in orthopedics, MSICU/MICU/SICU and emergency nursing. This was an exciting opportunity as I gained much more experience and had the opportunity to float to different departments. I then decided to return to school once more to obtain my masters degree for family nurse practitioner, which I completed in December 2021. During the time I was in the process of obtaining my family nurse practitioner certification, I took one more travel nursing assignment lasting 9 months in Arizona which I really enjoyed because it gave me a lot of opportunities to enjoy what the American Southwest has to offer. Once my contract ended I came back home to work as a primary care Family Nurse Practitioner.
I enjoy learning and helping to teach others. Throughout my time as a student, I always enjoyed tutoring others. Tutoring gave me the satisfaction of helping others to achieve success. Throughout my nursing career, that drive to teach never stopped, and I found myself providing education to my fellow peers and to nursing students as well as patients.
