Hi, my name is Pamela. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Texas A&M University–Central Texas and am pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. My background combines academic training with professional experience in child welfare, legal documentation, advocacy, and policy-focused practice.

Before graduate school, I worked with Child Protective Services (CPS), preparing professional documentation used in legal and child welfare systems. That work strengthened my ability to organize complex case information, separate key facts from supporting details, write clearly, and understand how practice intersects with policy, law, ethics, and agency requirements.

During my BSW, I interned with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). That experience deepened my understanding of macro social work, advocacy, policy, and how social workers influence systems beyond individual practice.

These experiences shape how I tutor. Social work students are often asked to connect theory, policy, research, ethics, law, and practice in one assignment. I help break those expectations into manageable parts and show why the concepts connect, rather than relying on memorization.

I can assist with:
- Social welfare and public policy
- Macro social work and advocacy
- Theories and theoretical application
- Case study and case analysis
- Policy, law, and practice intersections
- Academic and professional writing
- APA 7 and scholarly source integration
- Reading peer-reviewed research
- Assignment instructions and rubrics
- Discussions, presentations, study guides, and exam prep

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I help students understand the material, organize their thinking, use appropriate evidence, strengthen analysis, and communicate clearly.

I do not complete graded assignments or provide legal advice. My goal is to help students build the knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and confidence to produce their own high-quality work.

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

My writing experience spans creative, academic, professional, and narrative-based communication, with a strong focus on developing a clear and authentic voice. I help writers strengthen story structure, character development, dialogue, pacing, description, and overall flow while preserving their individual style. My professional and graduate-level writing experience has also strengthened my skills in editing, organization, clarity, and communicating complex ideas effectively. I especially enjoy helping writers turn rough ideas into engaging, well-developed pieces that still sound like their own work.
