Hello potential students!
Let me introduce myself. I'm a philosopher who teaches at several universities as an adjunct. I'd like to build up a schedule tutoring students for entry to higher education during the Summer months when my other work is slow. I'm a caring and dedicated teacher with over a decade of experience teaching at colleges and universities.
I scored in the 98th percentile (5.5) in the Analytical Writing section of the GRE, the 95th percentile (165) on the Verbal, and the 75th (159) percentile in Quantitative Reasoning. I mainly focus on persuasive writing and vocabulary, but I’m also willing to work on math for the right student.
I also tutor all subjects on the SAT and ACT, as well as work on general essay skills or vocabulary.
I am looking to tutor students considering Graduate School, but I have experience teaching students as young as 16 and students whose first language isn't English.
I have been teaching Critical Thinking , Logic, Philosophy of Science, Biomedical Ethics, and Professional Ethics, Information Literacy, & Asian and Indian Philosophy, in addition to introductory courses. I have two Master’s degrees I earned before my doctorate, one in Philosophy from Texas Tech University and one in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University. I have also authored articles for professional journals through an artificial intelligence lab at USF.
