Hi, my name is Anush, and I’m currently a Computer Science major at the University of Texas at Austin. I’ve been tutoring since high school, where I worked professionally at Gideon Math and Reading in Southlake for four years. During that time, I primarily worked with middle and high school students, teaching everything from foundational math skills to SAT-level reading and mathematics. After I started college, I shifted to online tutoring so I could continue helping students while managing my own coursework.
Lately, I’ve been focused on SAT and ACT prep, especially now that I’m back home for the summer. I scored a 35 on the ACT and a 1560 on the SAT, and my tutoring approach is built around the same strategies that helped me get there. I believe in the power of repetition—consistent, focused testing builds confidence and mastery. I structure sessions around practice problems and timed mini-tests that closely mirror the actual exam, so students get used to the format and pacing. We don’t just go over what went wrong—we repeat problem types until the student feels solid. That muscle memory is key to breaking through score plateaus.
I’ve seen firsthand how this method not only improves scores but also helps reduce test anxiety. My goal is to make learning efficient, personalized, and low-pressure. I’m excited to bring this approach to Wyzant and help students hit their goals.
