Engaging and effective tutor: teaches how each student learns best

Hi, I'm Prasannah! I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Engineering. I have 10-15 years of private tutoring experience, specializing in math and science. I have experience with students of all ages including adults returning to college.

I started tutoring in high school because I loved math and physics, and after class, I would explain the lesson to anyone that needed help. I realized that I have a knack for breaking down difficult concepts and explaining them the way each person learns best. I also realized that people loved learning from me time and again. I love the subjects I teach so I make classes fun, and I work to create a comfortable learning environment for all my students. I help students gain clarity and make sure they have a solid grasp of the basics so they can move on to more advanced topics.

In my experience, many students struggle simply because they haven't been taught in a way that resonates with them. Everyone learns differently, so I help my students understand their personal learning style as well as the given subject. I find that this not only increases their understanding of the subject but also their overall confidence. I can also help students with ADHD develop study and wellness habits that make studying more effective and much less stressful.

My goal is to give students a good foundation in math and science, as well as learning styles and study habits, so they can apply their knowledge confidently and succeed in school.

I generally work with students once or twice a week and help them with homework and test preparation. I teach students through a whole semester/school year so I can be available for help with important assignments and projects.
