I have always had a strong interest in languages and cultures. I studied abroad in Germany and also studied Japanese during my student years. These experiences gave me a deeper appreciation for language learning and helped shape my passion for teaching.
I have loved Chinese literature, writing, and poetry since I was young, and I also have a strong interest in traditional Chinese culture and ancient art. In 2014, I earned an Advanced Certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate, Level 2-A. I later taught Chinese to adult learners at a language school in Shenzhen.
After moving to the United States, I taught Chinese to young children at a private international school. I later completed a U.S. teacher preparation program and earned K–12 certification in Chinese. Since then, I have been teaching Chinese at a public charter school, where I teach six different levels of Chinese and also provide one-on-one support to high school students.
Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages, proficiency levels, and learning goals. Whether you are a beginner or already have a foundation in Chinese, I can create a personalized learning plan based on your needs and help you make steady progress toward your goals.
