I tutor middle school math through Geometry as well as beginner Python, with a strong focus on clear understanding and confidence-building. I’m a patient, step-by-step teacher who breaks concepts down into manageable pieces so students don’t feel overwhelmed or rushed. I tutor middle school math through Geometry as well as beginner Python, with a strong focus on clear understanding and confidence-building. I’m a patient, step-by-step teacher who breaks concepts down into manageable pieces so students don’t feel overwhelmed or rushed. My goal is to help students understand the “why” behind what they’re doing, not just memorize steps or chase the right answer. Whether we’re working through fractions, algebra basics, geometry concepts, or a first Python program, I adapt my explanations to match each student’s learning style.

I specialize in working with students who feel stuck, frustrated, or anxious about math or coding, including those with ADHD or attention challenges. I create a calm, structured learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. Parents appreciate that I communicate clearly about progress, and students appreciate that lessons feel supportive rather than stressful. If math or coding has felt confusing or discouraging in the past, I’m here to help make it approachable and achievable.

Approved Subjects

AWS

AWS

I worked professionally with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for five years, building and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure. My experience includes core AWS services, cloud architecture concepts, and practical troubleshooting in real-world environments. When tutoring AWS, I focus on helping students understand how cloud services actually work together rather than just memorizing service names. I break down topics like EC2, S3, IAM, and cloud fundamentals in a clear, step-by-step way so learners can build confidence and practical understanding. This approach works especially well for beginners preparing for AWS certifications or developers learning how to use cloud infrastructure for the first time.
Ballroom Dancing

Ballroom Dancing

I studied ballroom dancing for seven years and developed a strong foundation in partner connection, timing, and footwork across common ballroom styles. My focus when teaching is helping students feel comfortable on the dance floor while building solid fundamentals. I break down steps and movement patterns in a simple, step-by-step way so beginners can learn rhythm, posture, and lead/follow technique without feeling overwhelmed. Lessons focus on confidence, musicality, and smooth partner communication so students can enjoy dancing socially or prepare for events.
Baseball

Baseball

I have been involved in baseball for many years as both a player and an umpire. I umpired youth baseball for nine years, which gave me a strong understanding of the rules of the game, proper mechanics, and how plays develop on the field. When teaching baseball fundamentals, I focus on the core skills young players need to succeed, including throwing mechanics, fielding fundamentals, base running awareness, and understanding game situations. My goal is to help players build confidence while learning the correct habits early. Because of my umpiring background, I also help players understand the rules of the game and how decisions are made on the field, which improves their overall awareness and performance during games.
Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering

I have over 20 years of experience applying computer engineering and programming principles in real-world technical environments. My background includes problem solving, software logic, debugging, and understanding how systems and code interact. I help students understand programming fundamentals, algorithms, and structured problem-solving rather than memorizing syntax. My approach focuses on breaking complex engineering concepts into clear, practical steps so students can confidently apply them in coursework and projects.
Python

Python

I have over 20 years of experience applying computer engineering and programming principles to real-world technical problems. I help students understand Python fundamentals including variables, loops, functions, classes, and debugging techniques. My focus is on teaching structured problem solving, algorithms, and how to think through code rather than memorizing syntax. I regularly assist students with coursework, projects, and learning how Python interacts with real systems and data.
Water Polo

Water Polo

I played competitive water polo for three years at the high school level, developing a strong foundation in game strategy, technique, and teamwork. After my playing career, I spent seven years as a certified water polo referee, giving me a deep understanding of the rules, positioning, and the finer details of the game from an officiating perspective. This combination of playing and refereeing experience allows me to teach students at all skill levels, from fundamental skills to advanced game awareness. I am passionate about helping athletes improve their performance, build confidence in the water, and develop a true love for the sport.
