At first sight, I'm a tutor; over time you'll discover that I'm a tour guide.

I am thrilled at the prospect of assisting you as you explore the worlds of the subjects you have entered. I have taught English to high school seniors in the classroom for over two years and have tutored elementary and middle schoolers one-on-one for about a year in my spare time. I have been privileged to help them step into the beautiful realm of English literature, culture, and language as their guide. My methodology involves a model of direct instruction combining a pristine blend of rigor, humor, technology, and cultural authenticity within the context of an appropriate teacher-student relationship.

Moreover, I offer you the fruits of eight years of intense study in disciplines such as philosophy, theology, and various languages, all of which have contributed to my linguistic, academic career. Finally, during my undergraduate work, I graduated "magna cum laude" with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a GPA of 3.81 followed by a graduate Master of Arts in Theological Studies with a GPA of 3.93.

I am not here to help you merely find the answer, but also to grow as a human being and help you move more freely, smoothly, and consistently amid the beautiful disciplines of the mind such as English, philosophy, Latin and more. I can't wait to begin this expedition with you.

I encourage you to contact me so that you can learn more and, if you so choose, we can schedule a time to begin diving into these worlds with greater freedom, dexterity and enthusiasm!

SAT Reading

SAT Reading

I have tutored juniors and sophomores for about a year now to prepare to take/retake the SAT Reading/Writing sections. Over time, their scores have progressed and valuable test-taking strategies have been gleaned in areas such as test-taking skills (e.g. time management) and different learning styles (e.g. visual).

Knowledgeable and Great at Explaining Concepts

I cannot recommend Gregory highly enough! His depth of knowledge is truly impressive, but what sets him apart is his ability to break down complex concepts into clear, understandable explanations.

Kind, patient, and understanding tutor.

I’ve had many tutors for my kids and Greg is exceptional. He is kind, organized, and professional. Additionally, he knows his subject material well and knows how to make tutoring sessions enjoyable especially for my reluctant child. He responds well to my requests. I highly recommend Greg!
