I am a Ph.D. student in Cybersecurity with over 30 years of professional experience in software development, Information Technology, System Administration, Identity and Access Managment, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a few industry certifications in areas such as project management, secure software development, among others. My academic work focuses primarily on secure cloud computing, software composition analysis, and open-source vulnerabilities, which gives me a strong foundation to teach both theoretical and applied aspects of cybersecurity, programming, and IT systems.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught and mentored students and professionals across a wide range of ages and experience levels, from high school students learning basics to adult learners in college level courses and those transitioning into tech careers. I have experience tutoring one-on-one, leading study groups, and teaching in corporate environments where I’ve trained associates and professionals alike. My teaching style is highly adaptive and student-centered: I believe in breaking down complex concepts into clear, relatable examples, helping students gain both confidence and competence and being able to apply their skills directly to professional endeavors.

Whether you’re just starting out or deepening your expertise, I work to meet students where they are, using hands-on exercises, real-world scenarios, and guided problem-solving. I aim to make each session practical, engaging, and focused on lasting understanding. My goal is not just to help you pass a class or certification exam, but to help you master skills that matter and are invaluable to progressing your education or career.

Computer Programming

Computer Programming

Programming has been a passion and hobby of mine for more than 30 years. I began with BASIC and QBASIC before progressing to Visual Basic 5.0 through .NET, Macromedia/Adobe ActionScript during the Flash era, Java since its earliest releases, C++, Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting, HTML, and numerous other programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. Throughout my career, I have applied computer science principles to software development, automation, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and enterprise application development, giving me both a strong theoretical foundation and extensive real-world experience. As a cybersecurity professional and Ph.D. candidate specializing in Secure Cloud Computing, I help students learn not only how to write code, but also how to build efficient, maintainable, secure, and professional-quality software. Whether you are taking your first programming course, learning a new language, preparing for technical interviews, building a GitHub portfolio, or tackling advanced software engineering concepts, I tailor every lesson to your individual goals, experience level, and learning style.
