Hello! I am a recent graduate of Cornell University, where I earned a degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Computational Biology. I scored a 790 on the SAT Math section and have a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and reading. At Cornell, I completed rigorous coursework in biology, chemistry, genetics, physics, statistics, and mathematics, which strengthened my problem-solving skills and my ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
I have several years of tutoring experience working with students from elementary school through high school. Through Chelsea Hall, I provided one-on-one tutoring to high school students in Algebra I, Geometry, and Calculus. I helped students understand difficult concepts, prepare for quizzes and exams, complete assignments, and improve their grades. I have also worked with elementary and middle school students in math and reading, helping them build skills in arithmetic, problem solving, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I break challenging topics into simple, manageable steps and explain concepts in multiple ways until they click. My goal is not only to help students complete their current assignments, but also to build lasting confidence and strong study habits. Whether your student needs help in math, reading, science, or test preparation, I would be excited to help them reach their goals and enjoy learning.
