Hey there! My name is Shoaib and I graduated summa cum laude at Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and a minor in Legal Studies. I started my journey as a tutor in high school working at Kumon, where I was responsible for helping students in advanced topics in math and reading. After leaving the city to start my undergraduate career in Chicago, I built on my tutoring experience by working as a tutor during my free time for at-risk youth and refugee children in the greater Chicagoland area. I routinely took on multiple students at a time during my sessions, often those students who were continuing to struggle with other tutors. Although it was difficult, I enjoyed coming up with creative ways to introduce topics in a way that makes sense to my students. It brings me immense joy as I see updates on my former students as they now receive awards and recognitions for their academic prowess and participate in regional robotics competitions. Just recently, I also finished working as an anatomy teaching assistant at a top medical school, helping shape the brightest minds of tomorrow.
Whether it's helping a kindergartner learn simple math operations or a college student with the principles of biochemistry, I love working with students from all backgrounds and educational levels. I firmly believe that any student can succeed with the appropriate support system, and I would love to be a part of yours. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson. I'm looking forward to helping you or your loved one's educational goals!
