Hi! I'm Harley, and I’ve been working in education for almost a decade, helping students build confidence and skills—especially in reading and writing. I have a master’s degree in Special Education with an Educational Diagnostician certification from Lamar University, and a bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. I’m also a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and certified to teach early childhood through 6th grade in Texas, with an ESL endorsement.
Most of my experience has been with elementary and middle school students, both in the classroom and in small-group or one-on-one settings. I’ve taught first and second grade, worked as a dyslexia interventionist, and now serve as a Special Education Coordinator, supporting schools across the district. My approach is structured, multisensory, and always tailored to the student—I believe every child learns differently, and it's my job to figure out how they learn best.
I love helping students who’ve struggled in traditional classrooms start to feel successful and excited about learning. I focus on creating a positive, encouraging space where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student realize, “Hey—I can do this!”
