Bio

Hi, I'm Daniel. I currently work as an Aerospace Engineer and specialize in helicopters and tilt-rotor aircraft. I've worked at multiple of the largest defense contractors from which I've developed a strong background in math and physics. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. I am also currently pursuing a Master’s degree from Purdue University in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with a concentration in Autonomy and Control....

Hi, I'm Daniel. I currently work as an Aerospace Engineer and specialize in helicopters and tilt-rotor aircraft. I've worked at multiple of the largest defense contractors from which I've developed a strong background in math and physics. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. I am also currently pursuing a Master’s degree from Purdue University in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with a concentration in Autonomy and Control. While it was not the career I pursued, I enjoy teaching and mentoring others.

I have always been a particularly good test taker and feel that I communicate test taking strategies to others well. I scored in the top 4% on the SAT, top 15% on the GRE Math, top 7% on the GRE Reading, and top 1% on the GRE writing. I have also helped teach family members and friends to achieve their target scores on these as well.

I consider myself an effective and patient communicator who adapts well to those I am helping. I feel that effective learning comes from a combination of reinforcing your own strengths, taking advantage of those times of day that each individual is most alert, and a willingness to accept where one needs to focus their efforts on for improvement. College prep, and test taking in particular is a nerve-wracking experience for even the most talented student, and I believe I am proficient in supporting others such that they build up the confidence and skills they need to succeed. I will provide a plan and atmosphere for students that is both comfortable and time efficient. I am a firm believer that simply putting in many hours will not improve one’s skills, but rather using one’s time effectively can achieve great results in a far shorter time than many people realize. Intent is key.

SAT math help

If you are looking for help with the SAT, Daniel really helped me feel more confident. He was very helpful during my SAT Math session. I have always considered myself to be pretty good at math, but he taught me a lot of shortcuts and tricks to each question type. I feel like I can complete the questions much faster now, and am less worried about my upcoming test.

Awesome GRE Tutor

Daniel was a great GRE tutor! In only a short lesson he managed to help me a lot. I was originally pretty nervous about how broad the test is, but he showed me how most questions fall into set categories so now I know how to specifically focus on the question types I struggle with. I was surprised by how a lot of the questions could be solved really quickly once you know the shortcut for each kind. He was very prepared, and didn't just expect me to come with a bunch of my own questions. He also helped me put together a plan for exactly how to use the next couple months to continue studying. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with test prep!
