I also possess a strong foundation in mathematics and physics, further reinforced by my aviation training as a licensed commercial pilot.
My teaching experience spans more than a decade, primarily focused on clarinet instruction for students ranging from middle school musicians to college performance majors. I have worked one-on-one with developing clarinetists on technique, tone production, musicianship, and repertoire preparation, and I have also coached students in ensemble contexts. My approach emphasizes clear communication, diagnostic listening, and adapting methods to meet each student's goals and learning style. In addition to performance instruction, my long-standing work as a clarinet repair technician allows me to guide students in instrument care and setup, ensuring they develop both artistic and technical confidence.
