Hi! I'm Mahima, and I'm currently pursuing a dual degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Economics at Johns Hopkins University, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. What I’ve loved most about my academic journey so far is the opportunity to apply both analytical thinking and creativity—something I also bring to every tutoring session. My goal is to help students not only understand difficult concepts, but to enjoy the process of learning them. I tailor my lessons to each student’s pace and learning style, and I make sure to break down complex STEM topics in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and rewarding.
I’ve been tutoring STEM subjects—including biology, chemistry, algebra, and calculus—for over two years, working with students from middle school through early college. Whether helping a high school junior prep for AP Biology or guiding a freshman through multi-step calculus problems, I always start with identifying where they’re stuck, then build from there using visual aids, real-world examples, and lots of encouragement. I also draw from my research and consulting background at Hopkins to show students how these subjects apply in exciting, real-world careers. My tutoring experience has included one-on-one and group formats, and I’m always happy to adapt my approach based on each student’s unique goals.
I genuinely enjoy helping others build confidence in STEM and am committed to being a supportive and dependable resource. I welcome any questions or suggestions, and I’d love to connect to see how I can support you or your student!
