I am a certified educator with over 13 years of experience teaching elementary students, currently specializing in 5th grade Math and Science. I hold a certification in Interdisciplinary Studies EC–6, along with an ESL certification, which allows me to effectively support diverse learners. I have also completed the HB3 Texas Reading Academy and Mentor Training, strengthening my ability to build strong literacy foundations and guide students with varying academic needs. My background in education has equipped me with the skills to break down complex concepts into manageable steps and help students gain confidence in their abilities.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students in both whole-class and small group settings, as well as one-on-one support. I regularly design and implement targeted instruction based on data, helping students close learning gaps and achieve measurable growth. I have experience creating assessments aligned to standards and have contributed to some of the highest test scores on my campus. My teaching experience ranges from supporting struggling learners who need foundational skills to challenging advanced students who require enrichment.

My tutoring approach is structured, patient, and personalized. I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for growth, then tailoring instruction to meet their specific needs. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and real-world connections to make learning meaningful and engaging. I also prioritize building confidence, because I believe students learn best when they feel supported and capable. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them become independent, motivated learners.
