Lonestar College (Enrolled)
I'm currently in college, 24 years old. My major is Education. My goals are to graduate with a Bachelors in Education and on to my Masters degree after that. I have been tutoring since kindergarten. I actually potty-trained my sister at the age of two and she's 13 months younger than me! It's true. But I'm no nerd or smarty pants. But I love to learn and explore possibilities. I just pay close attention to things and that's why I love math and science so much. It's a mind game with numbers and letters and formulas and possibilities!
My method of learning is connecting with the student's mind finding out how much they understand about the subject leading to the problem they are having in understanding the subject. My intentions are to help the student solve the rest of the problems on their own without the help of a tutor and prepare them for the test. My goal as a parent and tutor is for a student to want to succeed and not quit because it's too hard and take on the challenge and learn from obstacles whatever the case may be.
My Motto: Quitting tells your character Taking on the Challenge builds Character!
My first love: Math: Elementary-College Algebra Science: Elementary-Chemistry

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
The ASVAB covers General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension and Mathematics Knowledge. I have knowledge of these subjects as far as cars and electronics. I am not as advanced but If you have the book and information I guarantee I'll learn it with you and help you study to pass!
I learned to love basketball because it was a physical sport. If I needed to release steam or stressed due to school I'd play basketball. I've been playing basketball since I was eight years old for AAU teams, school basketball A-team in middle school, and Varsity teams. I am an 87% free throw shooter. I will also make most paint shots and 3 pointers. I played all positions. In AAU I was a point guard and shooting guard. In high school, I played shooting guard forward, post, and center. I am not tall- 5'5" actually- but I had weight and strength. I am 23 and I bench 150 plus. I also have won awards such as best free throw shooter, most aggressive, most defensive charges, and so on. I've coached younger children. I'm straight basics first defensive and offensive and all aggression my main points is aggression. I'm a shooter and the most aggressive! But team-work and good sportsman conduct as well!
Simple subject that requires a lot of studying. I'm ready to help!
I love chemistry and I've had great chem teachers in high school and college. My specialties are finding moles, molar mass molarity units, etc. I just like figuring things out. Brain teasers are my specialty. Also solving formulas and balancing equations!
My major is Education. I am studying to become a math teacher. My passion is to teach all children and connect with their minds to get them on the path to success! I am patient yet firm. All children are wise but in their own time. I believe all children should have support and guidance throughout their learning experience. I as a tutor am the back brace (support) for the students who struggle to accomplish their goals. With a bit of guidance structure and consistency they will stand on their own and travel the path to success!
Highly motivated to teach math! I get my experience from teaching my 9 year old brother everyday he comes home from school!
I remember learning elementary science in school. I thought I was a bit rusty from chemistry and biology classes in college, but it comes naturally. This subject enlightens the student on whether they want to become a geologist or a weatherman or any other kind of scientist.
Whatever setbacks a person has in life, passing your GED is a great opportunity to take multiple steps forward in the future. I graduated with my diploma from high school; yet, struggled after to finish college, but I'm here and continuing my education to educate others who are following the same path I am. It's an honor to tutor and mentor. I also have experience in this field. I have tutored so far about 3 students for their GED and all have succeeded! Its an honor to be of some assistance!
I do well in geometry, but I really specialize in finding angles, perpendicular lines, y-axis/x-axis, finding the slopes and so on. I love finding angles and playing with the protractor!
Very simple and fun to teach
Prealgebra is my specialty. I love anything with numbers and confusion! I love helping others learn what I know as well and how I came to understand the subject. I'm no nerd; I just had great teachers. I will teach the same techniques I learned to master the subject!
I am of some assistance with probability. I will be honest, it's not my strongest point, but far from my weakest. I enjoy figuring things out and helping others while learning more information along the way. This is a helpful subject if you love probability and odds and chances of winning or losing.
Reading is the key to learning what the world has to offer. It is the key component when traveling the path to success with out it the mind is at rest! Now Let's Read!!!
It's always good to know and understand different terminology. I use the dictionary for the word of the day and I try to use that word in my daily lifestyle.
