I have also worked with students one-on-one through tutoring and academic support, helping them with everything from basic algebra skills to more advanced high school and college-level math.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and focused on understanding rather than memorizing steps. I like to figure out exactly where a student becomes confused, break the concept into manageable pieces, and then have the student work through problems with guidance until they are comfortable doing them independently. I also adjust my approach depending on the student, whether they need help catching up, preparing for a test, completing challenging homework, or strengthening their overall confidence in math.
I truly believe that no one is born knowing how to do math. We all learn by practicing, asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from those mistakes. I want my students to feel comfortable doing that with me. My goal is to help them understand the material, become more confident, and eventually be able to solve problems independently.
