Hello,

I am a thirty-five-year-old husband and father living in Lakewood,CA. Currently I work for Long Beach Unified School District at Jordan HS teaching in an SDC Moderate/Severe classroom and coaching multiple sports on campus. I attended National University for a Master's degree in Special Education with a multiple subject credential focusing on moderate to severe disabilities. I received my Bachelor's degree from California State University Long Beach majoring in Recreation in 2009. Before that I graduated with an Associates degree in Social Science from Goldenwest College.

I love working with elementary through high school age students. Making a difference in their lives and seeing them learn something new makes my day. Watching students grow during their time working with me is the greatest honor. I have worked with kids since my time at the YMCA in Lakewood. Supervising summer camps, after school programs, and youth sports gave me a diverse platform and base knowledge. I also worked for the City of Lakewood parks and recreation department. Coaching special Olympics, managing facilities, and facilitating teen events were just a few of the responsibilities that I was delegated during my tenure there.

Over the past few years I have been managing a group home facility that is incorporated as a non profit called First Step Supported Living Services. I am director of tutoring and manage a house of individuals with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Always a challenge, but it's important these kids have someone in their life that genuinely cares whether they succeed and grow.

I always give a full effort and never give up. I will motivate and ensure that your student is getting the maximum attention they deserve. Differences can only be made when collaboration and teamwork combine to strive to meet a common goal.
