Hello! ¡Hola! I’m currently a second-year law school student in Houston, TX! I am extremely passionate about advocating for students and their needs. I believe teaching and tutoring provide a unique safe spaces for students who may need additional help or are simply looking for more resources to excel. I wholeheartedly look forward to meeting and working with students on this platform!
Prior to law school, I was a 3rd grade bilingual writing teacher at IDEA. In that role, I taught critical writing and reading skills to English and Spanish learners as well as conducted one-on-one lessons and private tutoring.
Over the years I have formally taught students between the ages of 6-9 and was also a tutor and mentor to students between 15-18 years old.
I am a native Spanish speaker, reader, and writer and feel extremely qualified to assist in those areas. Further, I am a mentor in an organization where I work directly with Spanish-speaking children.
Throughout my studies in high school, I scored a 5 on the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam and excelled in my Spanish courses. I was also a part of the Spanish National Honors Society and National Honor Society.
I attended The University of Texas at Austin where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Women and Gender Studies in 2019. Since then, I have dedicated my career to advocating for students no matter their language or developmental barriers.
Please free to message me with any questions or to schedule a lesson. I look forward to meeting you and learning from you as you will from me! :)
